Install

Three steps to launch.

  1. Download the file

    Use only DeFiApp-Setup.exe from this page. A file from somewhere else is hard to trust even when the name matches.

  2. Compare the hash

    In PowerShell, compute the SHA-256 of the file you received.

    Get-FileHash .\DeFiApp-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

    The result must match the value in the download section below.

  3. Finish the wizard

    When setup completes, open DeFiApp from the Start menu. Uninstall it from the Windows Settings app list.

Notes

Before you install

Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”

An installer without a code signature can trigger a SmartScreen warning. Choose More info, then Run, only if you downloaded the file from this page and the SHA-256 matches. If the hash differs, delete the file.

Where does it install?

The default path is shown in the setup wizard. Launch DeFiApp from the Start menu, and uninstall it from Settings > Apps.

Can I install over an older version?

Running a newer setup file for the same product updates the existing install. Wallet data and settings stay in the user data folder.

Where do I change the download link?

Replace fileUrl in js/release.js. Every download button on this page uses that address. The current placeholder is https://defiapp.org/DeFiApp-Setup.exe.
